3M Open Recap

We are officially a couple days out from the snooze fest that is the 3M Open and I have some thoughts. This was believe it or not my first PGA Tour event I have been to and it went a little different than expected. I don’t know if it’s cause its such a weak field or what but it was hard to navigate. 

The star of the show was Mr Scottie Scheffler and everyone knew it. He had a crowd of 500 minimum, probably more like two thousand and there was only 2500 there on friday in all honesty. You don’t go to this tournament to watch Mackenzie Hughes and Joel Dahlmen, you go to watch the best golfer in the world. I was only in the first two rows for maybe a singular hole out of the 15 where I followed which to be completely hornets fucking blows ass. I will be giving golf boots on ground another shot soon but not at a dogshit event like this. The merch was terrible and I couldn’t find a bathroom without a line to save my life. It is truly an awful tournament at an awful course. 

Now let’s give some glaze to my boy Jackson Koivun. Holy shit this kid is so nasty. Aside from him probably needing back surgery in the next ten years he is flawless. The Auburn kid is an absolute dog and he rubbed his nuts on the entire field over the weekend. I wish Scottie gave a charge so we got some fireworks but the tournament ended in the only way it can. A very boring, lackluster finish. Jackson Koivun is the future but the 3M Open truly, truly sucks.
