There’s gonna be a nauseating amount of talk about this Ole Miss-Florida game in Gainesville this Saturday, and I am here, as a Florida Gator fan, to offer you some unique perspective. This has the feel of the old unranked home dog system from college basketball, a system that printed for YEARS but has started to cool off just a little. Now, I know Florida is technically ranked. They entered the AP Poll at No. 21 after a win over Auburn last Saturday at Jordan-Hare, but they’re the lower-ranked team. Ole Miss is the team that made the CFP semifinals last year and is coming off one of the biggest wins of the year against their old coach, Lane Kiffin, and the LSU Tigers. Sharps like the Gators. They have hammered the line from -1.5 all the way to -3.5. Just about everyone and their mothers are predicting a letdown for Ole Miss after a very emotional football game. So, how about this? I think the value has been bet out of the Florida Gators, but in the same breath, I don’t think Ole Miss is the right side either. So, I believe the real sharp play in this game is the UNDER. If you think Ole Miss has a letdown game, then you’re wagering Trinidad Chambliss won’t be nearly perfect like he was against Louisville and LSU. And if you like the Gators, then surely you’re aware Aaron Philo and the WRs have looked nice, but the star of the show is running back Jaden Baugh, who is gaining some Heisman steam after a dominating start to the season. So, if you’re a team with a dominant running back going against a weak run defense and an absolute sure-thing stud at QB who can score in the blink of an eye, how about long, drawn-out drives for the Florida Gators where they just run, run, and use clock? I believe the key to success for the Florida Gators is directly correlated to the UNDER, and I believe that is the sharpest look in this game.
