A PLAY IN EVERY GAME TONIGHT
Steak breaks down tonights slate and gives a play in every game.

Some of you might look at tonight’s slate and see it as an opportunity to take the night off and get prepared for tomorrow’s glorious CFB slate.
But not me.
I see opportunity.
Here are three plays, one in each game, that I like on tonight’s slate.
Listen, I am a Marcus Stokes guy. He’s fun to watch and has put on a show ever since he got to Memphis. I am also a Charles Huff guy. He deserves an insane amount of respect for turning around yet another program at lightning-fast speed.
But I don’t like the Tigers tonight.
I like Tulane, a team that has won nine games in a row at home.
Yes, Sumrall is gone, and yes, Will Hall absolutely has his work cut out for him in this game against a more talented Memphis team. But I think Tulane can muck this game up at home and control time of possession by running the ball successfully against a Memphis rush defense that ranks 118th in the country.
If Tulane can get off to a good start, grab an early lead, and control the game on the ground, I think this stays within one possession throughout.
The play: Tulane +7.5
The Washington Huskies are having a nightmare season, and it seems to get worse every week.
They’ve lost three games in a row, and last week they got embarrassed at home by Iowa and a backup QB on Friday night.
QB Demond Williams suffered a rib injury early in that game, and backup Elijah Brown came in and was more than serviceable, throwing for 251 yards and three TDs.
Elijah Brown will start tonight against a Purdue team that is flying high — VERY high by Purdue standards.
After showing some glimpses against Wake Forest and UCLA, scoring 38 and 36 points, they reeled off back-to-back wins, beating Minnesota 41-13 and then going on the road and beating Illinois.
I’m nervous about buying into a Purdue team playing at home with actual expectations surrounding them for the first time in ages.
I’d much rather buy into a pissed-off Washington team coming off getting embarrassed at home in this spot.
Also important to remember: Demond Williams tried to abandon this team after the transfer window and was forced to come back and play. It’s not crazy to think his teammates are VERY excited to be playing with Elijah Brown instead.
The play: Washington +3
At this current time, I’d say it is more than likely Appalachian State will be starting its backup QB, UCLA transfer Henry Hasselbeck, tonight.
We haven’t gotten to see him throw the ball much this year, but he has carried it 16 times for 105 yards on the season.
I think that is worth mentioning because Coastal Carolina has a PUTRID rush defense, allowing 190 yards per game and 4.8 yards per carry.
And opponents have not been shy about attacking it, with 237 rushing attempts against them.
Hasselbeck is actually a much better runner and more mobile QB than App State starter Malachi Singleton, so as long as App State can have similar success to the rest of Coastal Carolina’s opponents on the ground and keep Hasselbeck out of obvious passing situations, I think they’ll have success.
And you know I LOVE betting on a backup QB.
The play: App State ML
