Steaks BEST BETS for the NBA Playoffs

We have two more conference semifinal games tonight with four teams in similar positions. I’ll break down my best bet for each game.

At the beginning of this series, I liked the Pistons. I really did. But not like this. I really did think the same James Harden that shows up every year for the playoffs would show up again, and I certainly didn’t think Donovan Mitchell would be getting yelled at by his teammates for not running through screens or getting back on defense in the PLAYOFFS.

I think the scariest thing about the Pistons’ two victories in Detroit is that they won without Cade Cunningham playing anywhere near his best basketball, and their other All-Star, Jalen Duren, has not been anything special either. Instead, it’s the role players like Duncan Robinson and specifically Tobias Harris, who has had seven 20-point games in a row in the playoffs, that have been shouldering the load.

Now Cleveland goes back home and are 4.5-point favorites???? If that’s a trap with cheese, then I’m a mouse. Give me Pistons and the points. Probably won’t even need them. Cleveland is dead.

Listen, through this entire playoffs, every time I watch the Oklahoma City Thunder I ask myself the same question: is this team even beatable? No Denver, no Boston… are they even gonna be tested?

And I do not know the answer to that, but what I do know is the officiating in Game 2 was awful. So awful Austin Reaves was hurling profanities at the refs and had an entire meeting with them at center court at the end of the game.

If I’m silly for thinking that means the Lakers get calls at home and this is a close game in the single digits, then so be it, but I will certainly be taking LeBron at home with the points in a must-win game.
