We ended the week hitting two home run hitters at +450 and +670, so it only seems right we run it back to start the week. for the HRRs we do a unit and for the HRs we do a 1/4 unit.

1: James Wood, Washington Nationals

We can keep it real simple here. Twenty-three-year-old James Wood is one of the best hitters in baseball and 100% an All-Star, so seeing him be hot isn’t shocking. Nonetheless, he has a 6-game hit streak and 3 home runs in his last 4 games, while driving in 6 RBIs over his last 5. There’s simply no reason he wouldn’t stay hot against the Royals, who are sending an opener out to start tonight’s game.

2: Juan Soto, New York Mets

Juan Soto has seemingly been a cold dude as much as he’s been a hot dude this year, but right now he’s rolling. Soto has multi-hit games in each of his last 4 contests, homering twice and driving in 4 runs during that stretch. He does unfortunately face ace Chase Burns tonight, but that just means we’ll get a better number.

3: Royce Lewis, Minnesota Twins

If loving Royce Lewis is wrong, then I don’t wanna be right. Royce has been on a TEAR since being called up from the minors. He carries a 7-game hitting streak into today’s game, and during that stretch he’s tallied 11 hits, 3 home runs, and 5 RBIs. Today he faces MacKenzie Gore, who doesn’t have much familiarity with this Twins lineup.

4: Alec Burleson, St. Louis Cardinals

Alec was on here yesterday and he went yard, so I’ll be damned if I don’t go back to him. Alec may not be a household name, but he’s one of the hottest hitters in baseball, homering in 5 of his last 6 games.

5: Nick Kurtz, Athletics

You could argue Nick Kurtz has been benefiting from a VERY hitter-friendly park in Las Vegas, but the park in Sacramento ain’t too shabby for hitters either. Any way you slice it, Nick is a hot dude. Coming into today’s game, he has a 7-game hitting streak, and over that span he’s racked up 9 hits, 5 homers, and 9 RBIs.
