Krabs tells you who won me-guy of the week for this past week.

There are way too many me-guys in sports. You’re probably asking yourself, “what is a me guy?” It’s simple: a "me-guy" is a selfish person who prioritizes their own interests, stats, or personal gain over the team or group. It's commonly used in sports contexts to criticize players seen as focused on individual achievements rather than collective success. So, who was the biggest me-guy in sports this past week? I’m glad you asked…
For the first time in me-guy history, a creator at Bookit Sports will be given the award. I know what you’re probably thinking… “What did Trent do this time?” Surprisingly, it’s not BookitwithTrent who will be coming home with this distinguished award. Last week’s me-guy of the week is actually Jeff Sunday, the host of Bookit’s newest show, Board Review.
Now Jeff is not typically a me-guy, which is why I was so surprised by his actions over the weekend. Jeff allegedly begged Steak to fade the United States of America, and take Canada in the Hockey Olympics Gold Medal game on Sunday. They were getting roasted for fading America, being unpatriotic, and rooting against the United States. All of these were fair chirps, but that’s not why Jeff Sunday is being awarded me-guy of the week honors.

Jeff was awarded the me-guy of the week because of the stunt he pulled with Steak after they locked in Canada on the moneyline. Look, if you get your buddy to tail a play that loses, it happens. That’s life. But if you tell your buddy to take a play and it loses, and then you proceed to lock in a play in the same game that goes against your original bet, that’s a problem. Steak explains what happened very well in this video, but I would certainly be pissed if this happened to me.
It would be one thing if Jeff Sunday texted Steak, telling him that he was locking in Jack Hughes for the next goal scorer, but he didn’t. He cashed in silence while Steak only had a Canada moneyline ticket in his pocket. But wait, it somehow gets worse. Jeff not only celebrated like he hit a (+1000000) future, but he also did his rounds on social media, writing an entire article about the live bet that hit. If I was Steak, I would be so pissed reading this article and seeing Jeff Sunday splooging over a play that I didn’t even take, while the play I did take lost.
Is it fair game to celebrate like this on the feed after making your buddy tail a losing play in the same game? That’s rare low-IQ gambling etiquette from Jeff Sunday, something I wasn’t expecting to see in 2026. If you were Steak, would you be livid if you tailed Canada, lost the bet, and saw your buddy celebrating like he won the lottery afterwards? I know I certainly would be pissed. Congratulations, Jeff Sunday, on your first-ever me-guy of the week award.
Honorable mentions: Aaron Judge is always up there for me-guy of the week. He decides to hit two home runs in his first spring training game, making it all about himself instead of the younger players trying to make the team. Unbelievable me-guy activities from Aaron Judge last week…
Another honorable mention for last week is this curling guy doing a 360 trick shot during the Winter Olympics. There is no need for a move like this in this sport, further proving my theory that curling is the easiest sport in the Olympics. It’s so easy, we’ve got bald guys hitting 360 spin-move trick shots on the brightest of stages.
