The Best College Football Games of the Weekend, Week 9

This article has one job and one job only, to get you hip to three of the best games of this college football Saturday slate. Let's get right into it!

If you love good 'ole fashioned hard-nosed football, you're going to love this game. The total is sitting at 36.5, which means this is going to be a defensive slugfest. In the era of high total CFB games, it's refreshing to see a total this low. Expect an old school dog-fight in Iowa on Saturday afternoon, it might be the first team to score twice wins. 

The World's Largest Cocktail Party always bangs, so seeing this game in this article shouldn't be a surprise. Even the last couple of years when Florida has struggled and Georgia has been one of the best teams in the country, these matchups always end up extremely entertaining. This year, with Aaron Philo officially starting for Florida, you can expect some offensive fireworks. The total in thus one is sitting at 56.5 and on the way up. I'm not saying Florida is going to win this game, or even cover, but I do know this game will be cinema. Get the popcorn (and the cocktails) ready!

You might see App State playing Georgia Southern and think "I couldn't care less about this game!" Well, that's a horrendous take, because this game is going to be awesome. App State just beat JMU and pretty much knocked them out of the college football playoffs, meanwhile the air-raid offense of Georgia Southern has started the heat up the last couple of weeks. This team can score, and they have a great matchup against a sketchy defense in App State. With the total on the rise from 54.5 to 57.5, expect a great back and forth battle between these two Sun Belt squads.
