Krabs' PrizePicks Square of the Eon for TNF - NFL Week 2

There are very few times in life when you come across a square of the eon on PrizePicks. You only get two, maybe three square of eons every month, so you really need to make them count when you find them. Luckily for you, I have located a rare square of eon for Thursday Night Football.

There's no doubt about it, Josh Allen is one of the best quarterbacks to play the sport. He will go down in history as one of the greats, but that doesn't mean we can't fade him a time or two. He's coming off an elite game where he had two rushing TDs and two passing TDs. I'm no mathematician, but that's a lot of touchdowns against a really good Texans defense. Surely he scores three or more touchdowns on Thursday night against a worse Lions defense that just gave up 30 points to the Saints, right?

I think the Lions' defense is better than people are saying. Everyone is making fun of Detroit for playing with their food and them needing overtime to beat the Saints, but i'm not forgetting what that defense did to Tyler Shough and the Saints for 2+ quarters in week one. They were dominating for the majority of that game, but after some injuries they fell apart completely. Whether they get Chuck Clark or DJ Reed back is one thing, but at least they will have time to prepare this time around. 

Josh Allen just did something he's never done in his career, he went into Houston and put up big offensive numbers against the Texans, a team that historically dominates him. This is a great sell-high spot for Josh Allen against a Lions team people aren't taking seriously after an unimpressive week one win.

When I was searching through the PrizePicks board, I came across a Josh Allen 2.5 Pass + Rush + Receiving TDs square for TNF. I'm fairly confident he won't be catching a touchdown pass, so we can rule that one out. Now, he did have two rushing touchdowns in week one against the Texans, but the Lions defensive line looked sharp last week against the Saints. Tyler Shough was held to only four carries for eight yards and no touchdowns with a fumble lost. Don't be surprised if Josh Allen doesn't score a rushing touchdown this week, which would be rare, but is certainly possible.

Now instead of just taking his less than 0.5 rushing TD square, I don't want to put all my eggs in that basket. What happens if DJ Moore draws a PI call in the endzone and Josh Allen gets the ball on the 2 yard line? He's probably rushing four straight times until he scores. Instead of fading his rushing TD square, let's give ourselves some "wiggle room" and lock in his less than 2.5 Pass + Rush + Receiving TDs square. Facing a highly-motivated Lions defense that's getting disrespected, I'm willing to bet they limit Josh Allen from another 3+ TD performance on Thursday night.
