The odds for the next Super Bowl Champion are all relatively close, besides the Broncos (+1000), who are without their starting QB the rest of the way. If Bo Nix was healthy, all four teams would have relatively similar odds. The Seahawks were the pre-playoff favorites, and are currently sitting at (+145) to win the Super Bowl. The Rams are not far behind them, currently (+230) hoist the Lombardi. New England has similar odds, (+260) to be the last team standing. Who will end up winning it all? That’s a question I luckily have the answer to…
Out of all four teams remaining, the Rams are being undervalued. With veteran leadership, explosive offensive talent, a stifling defense, and Sean McVay's playoff brilliance, this team is built to hoist the Lombardi Trophy again. It’s time for Matthew Stafford to win his second Super Bowl with the Rams, right after he wins the 2025 NFL MVP award.
Their first opponent? Oh, it’s only the 1-seed in the NFC. The season series was a split thriller—Rams won 21-19 in Week 11 at SoFi, while Seattle edged a 38-37 overtime shootout in Week 18. Those games showed two evenly matched teams, but the playoffs elevate the Rams' edges. Matthew Stafford, a Super Bowl MVP from their 2021 run, thrives under pressure. His precision and experience outshine Sam Darnold's inconsistency in big moments throughout his career. Stafford has weapons galore: Puka Nacua's breakout dominance, Davante Adams’ route-running mastery, and Kyren Williams pounding the run game. The Rams' offensive line has gelled late in the season, giving Stafford time to dissect Seattle's secondary.
Defensively, Los Angeles is peaking. Young stars like Kobie Turner and Byron Young disrupt upfront, while the secondary limits big plays. Kam Curl has been a beast for the RamsSeattle relies heavily on home crowd noise, but the Rams have proven road warriors throughout the playoffs, including their gritty divisional win. McVay, one of the league's sharpest minds, has been here before, unlike Mike Macdonald. Don’t get me wrong, Coach Macdonald is one of the best young HC’s in football right now. But I’m riding with Sean McVay, who wins the best playcaller of the year award more often than not. Expect creative play-calling to exploit mismatches and control possession. The Rams advance.
Now, the Super Bowl matchup—against either the Patriots or Broncos—plays perfectly into LA's hands. If it's Denver, they will be coming off an insane upset with a backup QB under center in Jarrett Stidham. Without Bo Nix, the odds of them winning back to back games with a backup QB are slim to none. They will be vulnerable to the Rams' pass rush and balanced offensive-attack with both Corum and Williams earning their keep of late.
If New England emerges, it's Drake Maye's rookie magic against Stafford's veteran poise. Wouldn’t it be something if the two most-likely MVP candidates faced off in the Super Bowl the week of the winner being announced? The Patriots have surprised with a slew of receivers and a solid defense, but a young QB in his first Super Bowl often falters under the bright lights. Stafford won't. The Rams' defense, battle-tested from the NFC gauntlet, can contain Maye's mobility and force turnovers. McVay's Super Bowl experience gives him the coaching edge over whichever AFC staff arrives.
At (+230), the Rams are the future to bet on before the Conference Championship games this weekend. They might not be the favorites, but they're the most complete team remaining when it matters most. Talent, experience, and momentum align for a championship run. Load up on LA; this is the team who wins the Super Bowl this year.
