Rocket Classic Weekend Preview

We are two days into the Rocket Mortgage Classic and I have to say the golf has been golfing. This tournament is so much better than the 3M it’s not even funny. Other than the obvious better field which makes it so much more watchable, the course is great. The setup isn’t much more challenging than last year but it’s definitely a change that was needed. The bunkers & fescue around this course makes it look so fucking sexy on tv. This course is in beautiful shape and I have enjoyed watching every second of it. 

We are halfway through this tournament and all of my outrights are fucking dead besides
Matt Wallace (-9) who was 125/1 so if he’s the one that wins this thing I will laugh my ass off. Si Woo and Jake Knapp were my big guys in this field and they have been nothing short of ass. They’re all dead and I am very sad. 

My bets have sucked but some of my favorite golfers have been playing some golf. Hows ya Rickie Fowler? This guy looks like an absolute sex machine and I kind of like him to come back and win this tournament. He looks great but if I were a smart bettor which I’m not, it’s Cam Youngs tournament to lose. He is atop of the leaderboard right now with Patrick Cantlay and as boring as he is, I love that pairing. If we could fast forward to Sunday and have that as the final group I’d take it. Now if you want to get a little weird and take a flyer I like Jordan Spieth +10000 to make a run at this thing. His golf game looks so much better than it has been and he’s got a little pep in his step. It would be so Jordan Spieth if he were to win the Rocket Mortgage Classic and I think he can.
