Post Masters Thoughts

What a week at Augusta. We won some bets and lost most but the golf was golfing all weekend. I wish someone could have got a little closer so we could have had drama on the 18th but that’s a lot to ask for. Congrats to Rory, he was the best player all week and deserved that win more than anyone. Krabs had a good tweet about it earlier in the week but it was truly insane to see the 180 people did on Rory in a year. He went from people on their hands and knees begging for a win to praying on his downfall in 365 days. I was cheering my hardest last year for him and while I also wasn’t rooting for him to win it’s hard not to be happy for him. People however were not happy at all for him and it showed. I’m not sure I have been called a communist more in my life.

It was Masters week and my biggest takeaway was how annoying the golf twitter hardos are. Before I dig on them for a little bit let me give them a compliment. There is no better and I mean no better content on twitter than golf content. It bangs every single time. Plenty of hate but also plenty of back and forth talk but the views are always high. So for that I thank you. Now let me get into the reasons golf twitter is the scum of the earth. I have never met a group of people who think they are the greatest bettors and golfers then golf twitter. The amount of times I was called a casual and asked about my handicap was legitimately insane. First off nobody on twitter is an athlete, they need to stop thinking so. I have a crap golf swing and would still dog walk 90% of golf twitter. If you were only allowed to talk about sports you are good at on twitter, I promise we wouldn’t hear from you guys for years. Being good a t golf is not the flex you think it is. 

Now let's get into all the casual talk. What makes someone a casual? I know every golfer in the field and every event and have golfed since I got out of high school. If I sat here and got annoyed at every guy who didn’t watch more college basketball than me then I’d be angry at almost every guy on twitter. I have a life and would rather play golf on the weekends than sit in my basement and watch the Chucky Cheese Open. Your sport was on the same path as baseball, almost dead. Now it’s one of the most bet on and watched sports out of all of them. Quit being a golf hardo on twitter it sucks. You suck.
