There's only a couple of weeks left in the 2025-26 NFL season and that means the NFL Draft is right around the corner. The Bookit Sports social team put together a mock draft with the Las Vegas Raiders holding the first overall pick.
This year's quarterback class is a bit underwhelming (2027 is expected to be much better). However, there are still a few teams in need of a quarterback as we head into the offseason. The Raiders, Pittsburgh Steelers, Miami Dolphins and New Orleans Saints are all teams that could use help at the quarterback position.
Let's take a look at the top 10 spots.
1. Las Vegas Raiders — Fernando Mendoza (QB, Indiana)
Point blank period the Raiders NEED a quarterback. Ever since the departure of Derek Carr to the Saints, the Raiders have relied on stop-gaps over solutions at quarterback. Geno Smith's late career surge has calmed and without many other options on the roster, the Raiders likely will take the reigning Heisman quarterback and National Champion at the top spot.
2. New York Jets — Arvell Reese (LB, Ohio State)
Reese is a rangy, explosive linebacker who thrives in space — exactly what the Jets need to maintain an elite defense. For a team that has needs all over the field, it would make sense for the defensive minded Aaron Glenn to make a big addition to a team that ranked in the bottom half of the league in sacks a year ago.
3. Arizona Cardinals — Jeremiah Love (RB, Notre Dame)
This spot might be a little high for Love, but the Cardinals roster has been lacking a big time running back since David Johnson. James Conner's aging and has battled injuries the last few years, causing Arizona to look for fill-in options. Love brings burst, vision, and big-play ability to an Arizona offense that needs juice. Whether or not Kyler Murray is under center in 2026 remains to be seen, but getting the run game right could help unlock an offensive pass game with big time assets in Marvin Harrison and Michael Wilson.
4. Tennessee Titans — David Bailey (EDGE, Texas Tech)
Neewly hired head coach Robert Salah is going to have his hands full this season in an AFC South division that has seen each of the other three teams get significantly better since making a change at head coach. After firing Mike Vrabel, the Titans laid an egg with Brian Callahan and once again will have to start from scratch. Expect Salah and co. to address the defensive side of the ball first and who better to take than Texas Tech's David Bailey. With his high-motor, the edge rusher fits Tennessee’s identity of physical, disruptive defense. His ability to win off the edge and set the tone up front makes him a natural fit for the Titans’ front seven.
5. New York Giants — Caleb Downs (S, Ohio State)
The New York Giants made some strong additions on the defense the last few years and may aim to make another splash with one of the best defensive backs on the board. John Harbaugh will look to unlock second year quarterback Jaxon Dart and adding to a loaded defense could put New York in a position to compete for a division title. The Giants landing a defensive chess piece like Downs helps solidify the secondary and gives their defense a true tone-setter on the back end.
6. Cleveland Browns — Spencer Fano (OT, Utah)
The Cleveland Browns are always in a simialar spot to the Titans. Cleveland hasn't found it's answer at quarterback yet, but is hoping Shedeur Sanders can be it in year two. The Browns would be smart to beef up the offensive line and give Sanders the best shot to succeed. Spencer Fano is a tough, technically sound offensive lineman — exactly what Cleveland covets and Fano fits their run-heavy, physical offensive philosophy perfectly.
7. Washington Commanders — Rueben Bain (EDGE, Miami)
As the Commanders continue to retool their roster in hopes of a return to the NFC Championship game, the Commanders are in a perfect spot to take Reuben Bain from Miami. He may not fall this far in which Washington could aim for a wide receiver to pair with Terry McLaurin (Deebo Samuel is a pending free agent in 2026). If the Commanders opt for the edge rusher, Bain brings explosiveness and pass-rush upside to a Washington defense that needs difference-makers. His speed and power combination gives the Commanders a young cornerstone to build around defensively.
8. Saints — Jordyn Tyson (WR, Arizona State)
New Orleans hasn't officially found its answer at the quarterback position either, but they're probably better off waiting until the 2027 class to identify the team's future signal caller. With the departure of Rashid Shaheed to Seattle and only a year left of Chris Olave, New Orleans needs to address its wide receiver room. Tyson is a smooth route-runner with reliable hands, fitting New Orleans’ need for offensive consistency. He complements the Saints’ short-to-intermediate passing game while still offering big-play upside.
9. Kansas City Chiefs — Carnell Tate (WR, Ohio State)
It doesn't really seem fair that the Kansas City Chiefs are picking inside the top 10, but here we are. After missing the playoffs in more than a decade, Kansas City is set to add an impact player on the offensive side of the ball. Another weapon for Patrick Mahomes, sure why not. Carnell Tate’s polish and football IQ make him a perfect Chiefs receiver. His ability to separate and make plays after the catch fits seamlessly with Kansas City’s timing-based offense and elite QB play.
10. Cincinnati Bengals — Sonney Styles (LB, Ohio State)
Cincinnati needs to address the defensive run game. They ranked 31st in the league in stopping the run so the Bengals front office will more than likely look at a middle linebacker and Sonney Styles fits the mold. Styles gives Cincinnati a versatile defender who can cover, tackle, and blitz. If he works out as well as the their last top 10 pick (Ja'Marr Chase) they'll be thrilled.
