Eagles vs Bears: The Best Play for MNF Week 3

Although the Bears are down to their third-string QB Case Keenum tonight, the show must go on! Here is my favorite play for MNF tonight…

The Eagles haven’t looked sharp this season, but both of their games have somehow gone over the total and they’re 2-0. Everyone is saying Saquon is washed, hurt or looks terrible. They barely beat the Titans last week. Vibes are not great in Philadelphia right now, but like I said, they are still undefeated. We know that Coach Sirianni is petty, and I’m willing to bet that he tries to feed his star veteran running back early and often to silence all the haters. If we’re getting an early and frequent dose of Saquon, the clock is going to be ticking. I trust the Bears’ defensive line to prevent any home-runs from Barkley, but don’t be surprised if you see him get absolutely fed to start this game. 

I talked about the vibes being low for the Eagles, well the vibes couldn’t be worse for the Bears right now, either. Caleb Williams is out, Tyson Bagent is still recovering from a concussion, and Case Keenum hasn’t thrown a pass in the NFL since 2023. Sure, Ben Johnson is an offensive guru, but it’s fair to assume that he will come out with a rush-heavy offensive gamescript to help Case Keenum settle in. 

If both teams will be in a rush-heavy gamescript early, barring any breakaway Derrick Henry 90 yard touchdown runs, I feel good about an early under in this contest. Give me the 1Q u7.5 (-122), I am willing to bet we don’t see a touchdown in the first quarter of this one. As both teams feel each other out early, fade the offenses and back the early under. Get in, get out with a first quarter winner; I’ll meet you at the cash counter when it smacks.
