The Dodgers are the best team in baseball, but they opened up shorter favorites than I expected against the Rockies. That is a great sign for Colorado, as the books clearly think this game will be more competitive than the public anticipates. I’m not saying the Rockies are going to win this game, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they scored enough runs to do it!

The Rockies have been crushing left handed pitching. They have been one of the best offenses in baseball against LHP over the past month. Their opponent Eric Lauer has been overperforming immensely this season. This is the perfect spot to pray on his downfall and fade him in a very hitter-friendly ballpark.

Eric Lauer is also a fly ball pitcher, and pitching at Coors Field is one of the worst parks to pitch at if you’re a fly ball pitcher. I’m willing to bet we see a couple Rockies home runs early in this matchup. There’s a reason their team total is so juicy to the over.
