Diamondbacks vs Red Sox: How to Make Money Betting This Wednesday Afternoon Game

On paper, Wednesday’s matchup between the Diamondbacks and Red Sox looks like a pitcher’s duel. Brandon Pfaadt has been elite over his last four starts, and Payton Tolle’s ERA is now below a 3.00, which is very impressive. What surprised me the most about this game was how high the total opened last night…

With how well both of these starters are pitching, I was shocked to see the total open up this high. The total has since been steamed down to 7.5, where it should be, but that high opener makes me feel like we are seeing runs in this game tonight. If Pfaadt and Tolle were going to shove again today, this total would have opened up at 7.5, not 8.5. 

The Red Sox bats have gotten hot again. They have scored 20 runs in the first two games of this series combined. I’m expecting the Red Sox bats to show up once again on Wednesday, getting to Pfaadt and roughing him up for the first time in a month. Don’t be surprised if the Diamondbacks bats get going for the first time this series, either. Tolle is more than due for a blow-up start, and Arizona needs a win to keep their playoff hopes alive.
