While Bratt’s minor-league numbers are impressive, the jump to the big leagues—especially on the road in a hostile environment—is a massive leap. Debut starters frequently struggle with command, pitch sequencing, and the increased velocity and breaking stuff they see from MLB hitters.

Arizona’s rotation has been thinned by injuries, forcing the call-up of Bratt after Michael Soroka’s glute issue. That instability adds another layer of risk for the visitors.
