Day 1 of the First Four
Biev gives his First Four thoughts

How can you not be romantic about March Madness? Dayton always delivers but the first day was the best ball we could have asked for. We probably couldn’t have asked for better seats as we were basically on the bench of Texas & Howard. Let me take you on a journey to the great city of Dayton Ohio. I started my journey in Columbus where my aunt loaned me her 2017 Honda Civic and made the long 60 minute drive to Dayton. I was meeting my good friends Steak & Jeff Sunday but they decided to skip out on the first half of a magical NCAA tournament game. That’s my first gripe with these people. You’re paying money to go to a great game so why not enjoy every second? I guess we will never know.
They showed up in the second half of Howard and UMBC and we were not disappointed. If you are a true lover of basketball you understand that the 16 vs 16 seed is great basketball. It’s the best of the worst facing off and you always get a good game because the spread is always short. The games usually rock but Howard looked good and was fired up from the jump, they led for 90 percent of that game. I was on Howard large and was very confident in that bet but you just knew UMBC wasn’t going away. UMBC came back from down 12 and had a chance at the end to send it to OT. We couldn't have asked for a better game.
Next we move to the game of the night of Texas vs NC State, this game had everything. I’m assuming you watched the game so I won’t recap it but I will talk about things only someone that was there could see. First off lets talk about Jeff Sunday cheering against Steak and I for no other reason than the fact that he wanted to go to bed. I have never seen anything like that in my life and I really didn’t know what he was doing until I was back home.
This is what I get for being friends with a guy who has to stop and pee every 10 minutes. I love riders and guys in my fox hole and Jeff is the worst of the worst if you’re looking for that kind of guy. He has since apologized and I have found it in my kind heart to forgive him. If you are on twitter you have seen my video of Sean Miller cooking his assistant coach and I will touch on that in a separate blog tomorrow as I’m off to Dayton for day two. Enjoy the day and let's win all of our bets!
