Bievs' Thursday Night Football Whale

We are one night away from the start of Week 3 in the NFL which means we are one day away from gambling our dicks off on the greatest sport in the world. The 0-2 Atlanta Falcons host the 1-1 Green Bay Packers and while some our calling this the poop vs shit game, I’m loving what I see. 

 The Atlanta Falcons are 0-2 SU and 0-2 ATS. They have had Cooper Rush as their QB and have two embarrassing losses against a god awful Steelers team and an absolute blowout against their division rival Carolina Panthers. They have zero snaps inside the red zone on the year. Yes, that is a real stat. They haven’t made it inside the opponents 25 one time this season. Why on earth would anyone want to back this team? I will tell you why. 

 The Atlanta Falcons have Michael Penix Jr starting Thursday and while many think he’s worthless I think he’s lightyears ahead of Cooper Rush and it will show. They have nowhere to go, they can’t go any lower. This is the perfect buy low spot on this Falcons team. These are the spots that I love and spots that have been paying in primetime. When everyone zigs you zag and then you win. Everyone on the Rams -3.5 on a neutral site? Niners win outright. Giants getting 7.5 after dogwalking the Cowboys? Rams murder them. Colts only getting 5.5 on the road after getting their doors blown off? Easy cover in OT. This is how you should bet especially on primetime games. 

 Lastly, I don’t think this Packers team is anything to write home about. They have looked like shit and have a borderline moron at the helm. They barely squeaked by the Jets and lost by 17 to the Vikings. I’m not impressed at all with that defense and don’t even get me started with that offensive line. They have Krabs and Jovan at guard right now. The Falcons will easily stay inside this number and I think they win outright. Fuck them points but we’re taking the points. Give me Falcons +5.5 for 3u and Falcons ML for 1u.
