Bievs' Best Bets for 3/12

Since the last time we talked on the great Bookit Blog I was struggling to stay above .500 and struggling to even hit a wager. Since Monday we are 16-4 and could not be hotter. I’m as streaky as it gets so it’s time to enjoy this ride into March. 

There’s not a better game to start with than my Ohio State Buckeyes vs the Iowa Hawkeyes. The Buckeyes are rolling right now and I’m not sure there's many teams in the country that can stop them and most definitely not the Iowa Hawkeyes. The Ohio State Buckeyes get their top transfer back in Brandon Noel who has been out virtually the entire season. The Wright State transfer will give us the boost this team needs off the bench and a much needed extra body in this rotation. Bruce Thornton has finally clinched the tournament and it’s time to play free. The final bet in this game and what should be your biggest bet is John Mobley over 13.5 points. This is free money and he will have most of it at halftime. Give me Mobley and the Buckeyes to roll this morning.

My favorite part about the conference tournaments is that even the linemakers don’t know what to do with some of these gamers. These idiots with their computers wouldn’t know ball if it hit them in the face. Some lines that seem too easy are really just that easy. Wisconsin is laying -7.5 to the Washington Huskies and I really don’t care if they were laying 12.5, I’d be taking them. This Washington is putrid and just went to OT with a lifeless USC team. They can’t shoot, they can’t rebound and they lack any talent. Meanwhile this Wisconsin team can genuinely beat anyone and everyone that steps on the floor. Nick Boyd and John Blackwell are one of the best duos in the nation. Look for them to run deep in this tournament. Give me Wisconsin.

The next game we will be betting on is in the ACC tournament. The Louisville Cardinals barely escaped the SMU Mustangs yesterday and now have to turn around and play Miami. Vegas has also made them a favorite which to some might look like bait but if you've watched both these teams play I think it’s night and day. Miami may be the worst 3 seed the ACC tournament has ever seen. They lack a lot of size and struggle to rebound. They are a team I’d love to see in round 1 of the NCAA Tournament. I’m going to trust that Vegas made the right team the favorite even though they're the 6 seed playing the 3 seed. Trust your brain, Louisville is the better team.

Lastly we go back to the Big 12 tournament where we will be fading one of the best teams in the country. I have absolutely no reason to back this UCF team after squeaking by Cincy and before having just lost three straight. They looked like a dead team walking but this team just looks like they ride waves and that win is going to start a wild ride for the UCF Knights. That win gives them all the confidence in the world to hang with this Arizona Wildcat team. They believe they can beat them and I think they will have a chance to win this game. Give me the UCF Knights to keep it close in Kansas City.
