The Open Recap

The 2026 season of golf is over before we know it at least for the majors that is and I have many things to say. There are many sports where the underdog is who everyone wants to win but not me and definitely not for major championships. Our major champions aside from Rory Mcilroy are Aaron Rai, Wyndham Clark & Ryan Fox. I can’t believe that is the list of the 2026 major winners. 

Let’s start with Ryan Fox. I was a bogey on 18 away from winning 2.6k on Cam Young +4300 but again it wasn’t meant to be. Ryan Fox who although looks like a tub of glue was lights out on that back nine on Sunday. Every bad break that could have possibly happened did indeed happen to him and all he did was put his head down and fight for a major championship. He was unbelievable and beat out plenty of great golfers including my goat Sam Burns. 

Sam Burns takes yet another L and finishes second or close to yet again in a major. Sam Burns is coming and I wouldn’t get in his way. He will win the Tour Championship this year and if he doesn’t I will guarantee a major win in 2027. He is the best golfer on tour without a major and I can promise you it won’t last long. 

That likely does it on my golf betting for the year aside from possibly the Tour Championship and the Presidents Cup. It was a good year on matchups but an absolute nightmare on outrights as we end the year going 4/4 on the runner up. A brutal year that ended in the only way it could. We have 40 days until football season and I can’t wait. Until then good luck on all your wagers.
