We are officially twelve days away from the beginning of college football season and I couldn’t be more excited. As you know I am not a guy who loves to be well prepared and scan the board forever for the season. I wake up that morning and nuke whatever I want to nuke but something came across my desk. Let's get into it.
The first AP poll came out today and I tend to agree with most of these rankings, especially the first two. As most of you know I am an Ohio State fan so a lot of you will take this with a grain of salt and that's fine but you have to be a special type of moron to think they aren't one of the if not the most talented team in America. They lose a ton as they do every year but that offense is basically the exact same aside from Carnell Tate and they return the big three of Julian Sayin, Bo Jackson and Jeremiah Smith. That is all you need to know for this team's success. I have heard all about the slander of Julian Sayin and I can say it isn’t warranted. This kid will be a Heisman favorite at some point this season. Add Sayin to win the Heisman (+1500) to my card by the way. Learn the name Chris Henry Jr now because he will be a household name very, very soon. If you remember his dad you will know why. The defense gets a full face lift but is loaded with grad transfers that will step right in. They are going to win a National Championship in 2027 but if they don’t there is only one other team that can.
The Oregon Ducks come into the season ranked #2 in the nation and for good reason. That high powered offense returns their big names such as Dante Moore, Jordan Davison, Evan Stewart & Dakorian Moore. This offense was one of the best we have seen but seemed to always get in their own way. Now they get another year together and I think with the experience they have in 2026 it could be the year Dan Lanning gets over the hump. They added Koi Perich to this already loaded defense and if you don’t know about Koi Perich you are about to learn. He is Jabrill Peppers but on crack and he’s also white, which makes no sense when you watch him play. He is one of one and Minnesota fans are still distraught after losing him. He will be everywhere for the Ducks whether it’s on defense, offense or special teams he will make plays they so desperately need.
The Big Ten has the best two teams in the country and if you aren’t a Notre Dame slurper you know it’s not close. What if I told you that you can get the two best teams in the nation while also having the defending National Champions to win it all at plus money? Well you can and that is where my future whale comes in. The Big10 to win the National Championship is +130 on Draft Kings and I will be putting my house on it. I think it’s Ohio State but if it’s not it's going to be Oregon and we even have Indiana in the back seat if everything goes south. Place this now and be rich in January.
