The Greatest Shot of Our Lives

The shot that left me speechless. I had no words but “Oh my god” watching that ball go in from damn near half court. You can say I’m overreacting but for Uconn to win that game and on that shot, it’s one of the biggest and most clutch shots I have ever seen in my life. Uconn was dead to rights for the entirety of that game. I was sitting there feeling like an idiot after taking Uconn live at +10.5 and these psychos turned around and played one of the greatest second halves we have ever seen. They dominated the #1 overall seed for twenty straight minutes and deserved every single part of that win. Braylon Mullins is a freshman guard from Greenfield, IN and got to send the Huskies to the final four, twenty minutes from his hometown. You can’t write a story better than that. This is why sports are the best, you can’t replicate that feeling you get watching that shot go in. Braylon Mullins is a March hero forever. 

Instead of having your best free throw shooter Isiah Evans anywhere near the play he had him at half court. He instead had Dame Sarr who is a 51% FT shooter as the inbounder. You are the head coach and the players listen to you. There is 10 seconds left, you don’t even have to pass the ball at all. You can hold it and if they choose to waste time fouling like they did, you win the game. Cayden Boozer is not an elite FT shooter but he is actually the second best on the team at 81%, there is no reason to pass that ball but because he has a head coach who was born on third base he turns it over and ends Duke's season. Duke needs a coaching change and they need to stop settling for a former player. They can get anyone that they want, so go get it.

If you’ve kept up with my blogs you saw that I gave Uconn +1500 before the Duke game. I said they could beat Duke and they did. They’re down to +550 and I still love them to win it all. They can easily beat this Illinois team and then you just have to win one game against one of the beasts. A shot like that and a comeback like that can power a team like Uconn to win it all. They also just so happen to be led by the best coach in the nation. This Uconn team just shocked the world and I don’t think they’re done just yet.
