Saints vs Rams: The Best NFL Preseason Play for Saturday Week 2

Betting on the NFL Preseason is a different animal. You have to cap every quarter differently, because you never know who is going to be under center or when the backups will be taking over. Luckily, I have a play today I am obsessed with on Saturday’s NFL Preseason slate. Let’s get right into it…

There hasn’t been a ton of positivity surrounding the Saints over the past week. They lost their first preseason game, and their first round draft pick Jordyn Tyson is out for an extended period of time due to injury. Who wants to bet on this team against the Rams on Saturday, the Super Bowl favorite? Not many people, and that’s exactly why we’re taking the Saints on Saturday.

Sean McVay has never really cared about the preseason. His overall record isn’t great, and he typically doesn’t play his starters very much. Tonight, Matthew Stafford won’t be playing, along with the majority of the Rams starters. The Saints, on the other hand, will be playing the majority of their starters on Saturday, hence why the Saints are favorites against the Rams. 

The Rams have nothing to prove in the preseason. Their only goal is to stay as healthy as possible for the next two weeks. Fade the Rams, and back the hungrier, younger Saints team on Saturday. Kellen Moore is still trying to establish the culture he wants in New Orleans; expect a much more motivated Saints squad on Saturday. Fade the Rams, and back the Saints on the moneyline… I’ll meet you at the cash counter when they shock the world and defeat the projected Super Bowl Champions on Saturday.
