Rav's Favorite MLB Pitcher Square 4/28

The Philadelphia Phillies have fired their manager Rob Thomson after an unprecedented, horrific start to the season which finds the team sitting at 9-19. Although it isn't even the biggest collapse to start a season in their own division (Mets also 9-19), a change of leadership was absolutely needed for a team with high expectations this year.

One of the BEST systems ever in all of sports is the "Coaches Fired System", and if you're reading this you probably already know what I'm yapping about. Betting a team to win the day after their head coach is fired has historically been a profitable system. Today, the Phillies face off at home against the San Francisco Giants. 

The Giants, sitting at 13-15 and winners of their last two after a good homestand, come into the game as big underdogs to these Phillies that have struggled. Vegas clearly thinks the Phillies will be winning this game, and with the total moving down from 8.5 to 8, all signs point to the starting pitcher for the Phillies just having it Mike's way. That would be Jesus Luzardo.

Luzardo has reached this fantasy score just once in his last five games, including his last three where he put up 23, 4 and 20 respectively. He has a 17.5 pitching outs green goblin up on PrizePicks which means he should go 6 innings and get a quality start. He is also up for 7 strikouts and has come nowhere close to that his last two games. Luzardo will be shoving the Giants back to the dugout tonight and cashing this square.
