Paul Skenes Ends the Pirates 4-Game Losing Streak

There are certain times in sports where things just seem inevitable. UMass traveling down to Athens, Georgia to play the Bulldogs ... OKC playing the Suns in the first round ... Kevin Durant's availability in the playoffs ... we know how all of these things go. 

Today is one of those instances. Paul Skenes takes the mound today for the Pittsburgh Pirates, who currently find themselves on their longest losing streak of the season (4 games). They take on the St. Louis Cardinals, who have started the year hot but have serious flaws that have yet to fully sink them. One of those flaws is their high strikeout rate.

Paul Skenes is a competitor. All he wants to do is win and when the Pirates don't win, he's pissed. It's how he's built ... it's in his blood.
