I have finally cooled down since my NYC disaster and I can actually write my thoughts about the city without bias. This was my third time heading to New York and my first time during the summer and I have some thoughts.
Lets get into the living ability of NYC. I will get into being a tourist and exploring later but let’s talk about the people who decide to make this place your home. Are they out of their fucking mind? I just don't think the good parts of NYC outweigh the absolute nightmare of it. I wonder how many years of your life you lose by sitting in fucking traffic. Jeff Sunday would spiritually be 20 years old if he lived in a normal city. It took me an hour and thirty five minutes to go 13 miles. What in the actual fuck. You know how long it takes me to go 13 miles in Minnesota? About 10 minutes. Next lets talk about the price to live there. Half of these people would have mansions where I live if they packed up and moved to bumfuck nowhere. You don’t want to because we don’t have a Sweet Green? Grow up. I love my space and in that city you get none of it.
Speaking of no space, their hotel rooms in the city also have no space. I had to walk through the hallways sideways to fit through. Steak had a $500 hotel room that was very nice but the bed was touching the shitter. It also only had one towel which I happened to use, sorry steak. It just makes no sense to me how anyone could live there for more than a couple days.
Last but not least, let's get into the food. I will start with their bagels because they are actually different. I don’t know if it’s that dirty ass rat water or what but those bagels taste like rainbows and sunshine. They are doing something very different with those than any other city in the world. I then ordered Bleeker Street Pizza which was highly recommended by many New Yorkers and was voted the best pizza in NYC. Man when I tell you my local Pizza Hut shits on that place, I mean it. That was one of the most dogshit spots I have ever been to and they should be fucking ashamed. The food is good for the most part but in no way is it worth living in a shoe box with that traffic. If you live in NYC god bless you cause that place fucking sucks.
