My Favorite Plays for March 8th

I feel like I have been out of the game this week during the most important time of the year. A couple of bad days and some really bad beats and the world is ending. You mix the bad bets with the fact that I am still on my death bed and you get an angry Biev. I don’t feel any better five days later but I have to get back in the game. There’s no better team to get back in the game with than the Memphis Tigers. 

I could tell you all the reasons on why you should back the Memphis Tigers but there are very few so I will tell you all the reasons on why you shouldn’t. Let's start off with Penny Hardaway, the Head Coach of the Tigers. There is not a more incompetent coach in the nation at any level then Penny Hardaway. He was a nep baby hire and is only there because he’s one of the best players to come out of Memphis. He gets the talent every year because of his name but he lacks any and all coaching knowledge and his players refuse to get up and play for him. The Tigers have not only lost seven straight but they have failed to cover in seven straight. They are a laughable basketball team but I can’t stop backing them. At some point we have to be right and today is that day. There’s no reason to back them and that’s why we are. Give me the Tigers by a million. 

There is a member of Bookit Sports that has been slandering Tom Izzo to no end this week. The main slander he’s been spewing is his nickname “January, February, Izzo” Which is not something that I’m going to argue because Izzo hasn’t won it all in eons but I will argue that he’s not the goat. As an Ohio State fan it should be very easy for me to hate Tom Izzo but I don’t because he’s so good at what he does. It’s so hard to get guys to buy in for 4 years but Izzo does just that. He gets the absolute most out of his guys even when the talent isn’t all there. He is my CBB coaching goat and probably always will be. 

We’re getting Tom Izzo with 9.5 points against his rival for the last game of the year. I expect to get his best and his best is a lot better than Dusty Mays best. I will not argue that this Michigan State team is better than this Michigan team because they flat out are not close but this is too many points. Nobody wants to fade this Michigan team but today is a perfect day to do it. Fat lines in rivalry games just do not work out for the favorite. Look at Duke yesterday. It’s March and you’re getting one of the greatest coaches of all time with 9.5 points. Don’t overthink it, it’s the Spartans.
