MLB Hot Dudes - Sunday, August 2nd

Trea Turner has been a monster in his last 3 games. You could even go back further as he’s had a hit in 10 of his last 13. In those 10, he’s had 6 multihit games. I’ve played his bases in each game in this series against Baltimore. He’s the only thing I’m getting right and I can’t stop now. Unfortunately there is no history between him and Kyle Bradish, but that doesn’t deter me. Trea actually has a better average against right handed pitchers (.742 RHP vs .617 LHP) so I’m going to once again take Trea Turner to be successful at hitting the baseball.

Speaking of monsters, Steven Kwan is back to the old Steven Kwan that had me singing his praises as being one of the best hitters in baseball. He had a slow start to the season, but in the last 3 weeks he’s hitting .439 with a 1.001 OPS. I don’t know what that means, but I think it’s good. Steven rakes against right handed pitchers, however he is 0/3 against Merril Kelly with 2 strikeouts. Very uncharacteristic of Kwan. I say while he’s in the zone, this is the perfect time to improve those stats against a very average pitcher.

How about a name you haven’t heard much this season? Corey Seager. Corey missed the whole month of July. In his two games back, he’s had hits in both games going 3/6 with a double. Today he goes up against RHP Peter Lambert. Corey has seen Peter 5 times and has 3 hits including 1 home run. Also zero strikeouts. I think the Astros being this short of a favorite is fishy, and I think that means the Rangers bats get to Lambert. I will look to none other than Corey Seager to get going and make up for lost time.
