LC's Favorite PrizePicks Square: 8/13

The player I'm targeting for tonight is none other than the Simple Man himself, Jacob deGrom. deGrom is facing off against the Los Angeles Angels, who rank second in K% against right handed pitchers. He's already faced the Angels twice this year, recording 3 strikeouts in the first game and 7 strikeouts in the second game. What really caught my eye was his fantasy score for tonight, which sits at 36.5. Through his last five starts, it's been rocky. He's averaged about a 24 fantasy score. So for that number to be as high as it is, makes me feel pretty good. Although that's what intially caught my eye, I will be taking Jacob deGrom more than 6.5 strikeouts as my favorite square for tonight.

deGrom believes in this team and made the decision he wanted to stay a Ranger at the trade deadline. That means something to me, and I think it really means something to him too. I think he shoves and has himself a little masterclass out on the mound tonight. Let's get it.
