I know there are some of you guys who are still looking for some fantasy football advice. I have some thoughts on how you should handle your quarterback room this upcoming season.
It's 2026, and quarterbacks don't carry as much weight as they used to in fantasy football. The focus has shifted to wide recievers now that more leagues are using the PPR format. There are enough good QB's who are fantasy relevant where you don't need to take Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson or Drake Maye in the first couple of rounds.
I'd rather draft two QB's later on in the draft and alternate who starts based off the matchup than waste a super early pick on an elite QB. If you waste an early pick and draft an elite fantasy QB, you're inclined to start them every week. I don't care how good Josh Allen is, there are matchups where I won't want to start him in games against elite defenses or extremely low totals.
Look to target guys like Dak Prescott, Brock Purdy and Baker Mayfield in the later rounds. Snag two of them, and alternate who starts based off whoever has the best matchup. That is how you win your league, not by taking a quarterback in the first two or three rounds. Stash as many high-upside wide receivers as you possibly can in the first couple rounds, and thank me later when you win your league this year.
