I hate the Yankees. I’ve hated the Yankees before I even liked the sport of baseball. This pains me to do and say, but it has to be done. I’m going to throw up in my mouth after I say this but…I like this Yankees team.

I’m not saying it’s the Yankees year as in they’re winning the World Series, but I do think they find success throughout the season. With our without old ass Giancarlo Stanton. I don’t usually like attacking a win total within a loaded division, but I could see a WS hangover from the Blue Jays, and I’m not as high on the Orioles as others are. Obviously it should be a down year for the Rays too. Boston is a team I respect, but losing Bregman will hurt them.

This rotation is solid. Cole should be back. Fried is stellar. I like their young pitchers in Schlittler, Warren and even Gil. The Devin Williams experiment was a disaster so addition by subtraction there. I also really like this lineup - most specifically the back end of it. I obviously don’t need to mention Judge being the best hitter in baseball. Jose Callabero is scrappy in the back of the order, and I think left Ryan McMahon is capable of finding success in what should be his first full season as a Yankee. I’m also a huge Ben Rice guy. 

I’ve got the Yankees going 95-67 in my model.

The Cubs are loaded, but I don't trust them. I’m not scared of the Brewers either. This might be the most hyped Pirates team in my lifetime, so naturally I can't go anywhere near that. Then near the bottom of the barrel you find the Cincinnati Reds. 

This is a team baseball fans fell in love with a few years ago, but haven’t been able to take the next step from being a young upcoming team to serious contender. I think this is the year. 

You’ve got a good group of solid baseball players that have formed camaraderie and chemistry having played a few years together. Elly, Friedl, Stephenson, McLain, Benson. Bunch of dawgs. Now you add in the signing of Euginio Suarez - one of the best home run hitters in baseball - as well as a guy looking for a fresh start in the 9 hole with K’Bryan Hayes. 

Not ideal that Lodolo and Hunter Greene are hurt, but it’s a long season and they should be back at some point. I don’t love the rotation but I think their offense can score 4-5 runs per game.

I am not a stats guy when it comes to baseball. I’m just a plums guy. Last year I bet on one dude and his name was Cal Raliegh. This year, I’m sticking with the same position, but different team.

Shea signed a 1 year deal to avoid arbitration. Looking for a contract in a hitter friendly ballpark, I think he's ripe to explode and up his value. 

Give me Shea BANGeliers for 30+ home runs. I even laddered it up to 40.
