How to Draft From the #6 Spot in Fantasy

We’re approaching the week before the NFL season and you know what that means. It’s fantasy football time. This is my first mock draft so I can’t tell you what the best spot to draft from is but I can tell you the best draft you can have from each spot and today that spot is the 6th spot.Now most of my drafts are 12 man and PPR so this will be with those setting but even in a standard setting, I love this team. Let's get into each pick and why I love it. This mock draft was done on fantasypros.com so argue with a wall about who is available.
The first pick to most is very simple but I have a hard time believing it’s as easy as this website has made it. In every simulation I have done JSN has been sitting there at that 1.06 spot and frankly if he’s there you take him every time. If he’s not there then I think you go with one of the RBs as in Jonathon Taylor or Christian Mccafferey. You can even get cute with CeeDee Lamb as I believe he has a monster year.
In this draft the second pick is also impossible to fuck up as you can take ⅓ of James Cook, Devon Achane or Nico Collins. In this mock Nico fell to me and I couldn’t be more happy. I’d love to not go WR back to back but you can’t pass up two top five fantasy WRs. It’s a perfect start.
This is where the draft begins as you have to get lucky with either Jeremiah Love dropping and/or Kyren Willaims. Neither fell to me so I settled for Breece Hall. Is that the worst pick? No but it was a roller coaster last year with this guy. He would go random games with just not playing and if he did it was 50% of the snaps. The Jets are just a team to stay away from.
In the 4.07 spot is where I kind of lost it but was fine with going QB as I hated what's available. I hate taking QBs early but in my eyes Joe Burrow is so much more valuable to my team than a Luther Burden or a Travis Ettiene. I know what I’m getting with one of the best QBs in the league with a ton of weapons.
In the 5.06 spot I settled but if you can get lucky and Skattebo can fall then you have a loaded first 5 picks. Unfortunately I was not this lucky and had to draft Deandre Swift. It was between him and Mike Evans and to me that wasn’t much of a question. I see a pitiful 2026 in Mike Evans' future. I just don’t see it with him.
The 6th pick is a load of dogshuit as I hate most of these players. If Bucky Irving who is listed one spot ahead of my pick falls to you then just praise jesus because you just cooked these bum ass league members but he likely will not. I went with Christian Watson in this spot because he is a TD machine when healthy but he’s never healthy. I actually think I should've gone Carnell Tate here thinking back.
The next two picks I absolutely love as I think I would probably start them both over Watson in that flex spot by Week 3. I picked up two guys who I think will have big years in Brian Thomas Jr & Marvin Harrison Jr. I love those picks. I then rounded off the WR room in round 10 with Stefon Diggs. In round 9 I picked up Tyler Allgeir which to be honest is fucking blah. I hate that pick but it’s all I had. In round 11 I rounded off my starters with Travis Kelce and then picked up his backup in the last round in Juwan Johnson. In round 12 I took Trevor Lawrence for my backup to Mr Burrow and that rounds out my team. I would take this squad 10/10 times from the #6 position. Stay tuned for more draft spot blogs.
