From Rock Hill to Rock City

Allow me to introduce myself.   My name is Adam Trigger and I bet on sports full time.   You can find my picks exclusively at WagerTalk where I also do a daily live show.   I'm chronically online and in front of the odds screen so you might be familiar with my stuff via my posts on Twitter/X.   Either way if you have made it this far it's great to meet you.

I grew up in Schenectady, New York where I attended many Siena basketball games as a kid.  I liked it so much I decided to spend four years there for college.  It was actually supposed to be 3.5 years because I had enough credits to graduate early but two weeks before "graduation" I simply couldn't stomach the thought of not being on campus for the best team Siena had maybe ever.  Siena didn't have a graduate program back in 2008 so the best I could come up with was a full semester of writing classes (aka drink every single day with my friends) which would give me enough for a Writing degree.

Fast foward to March 2008, passing the writing classes was up in the air but my pal and future pro Kenny Hasbrouck led us to the NCAA Tournament and then dropped 30 to blow out Vanderbilt.

It was somewhere in that court storm I knew blowing thousands on another semester of tuition was worth it but I did somehow ended up passing those writing classes and also learned I enjoy to write.  When Krabs hit me up and asked if I would want some space on the Book It website to write about College Basketball it was an immediate YES (though I still owe him one for that huge corner three to cover +6.5).

I've been betting since I was a very young kid attending horse races at the Saratoga Race Track.  I've been betting on sports as soon as I learned that was a thing.  I tried the "real world" thing getting a 9-5 job after graduation but when you enter the workforce in the biggest recession since the Great Depression there are no jobs.  I started selling my picks with analysis as a way to make some extra money and nearly two decades later it's my full time job.  I also host live shows and make videos like the one you will find below breaking down Notre Dame vs Villanova which officially kicks off the 2026/27 basketball season.

My first game with boots on ground will be Sunday at Midnight ET at the Field of 68 event in Rock Hill, South Carolina between Liberty and High Point.  I will take plenty of video which I will post to my Twitter as well as here.  I also do an arena tour at every venue and, since we are on the topic of High Point, that's one of my favorite spots to date.  You can find my walk through the Qubein Center as well as all of my Arena Tours on my Tiktok @AdamTriggerWT and on X!

My final game of the season will be Championship Monday at Ford Field in Detroit.  I finally made it to the Final Four for the first time last season and it's by far the best and most fan friendly sporting event you will ever find.  I can't wait to go again this year!

Last season on Final Four weekend I was able to make it to Hinkle Fieldhouse for the NIT which was unique CBB venue #100 for me in the past four seasons.  My goal is to get to all 365 by my 50th birthday so 25-30 per year for the next 10 years should just about do it.  I know the real reason most of you are here is for the betting info and there will be plenty of that.  I will be focusing on the teams I'm getting to see in person and I promise we are going to cash some tickets on some of the more random schools in the country so lock in and I'll see you in Rock Hill.
