Bievs' Greaser

If you haven’t heard by now, Greasers are back! Last night we started our greaser off with Ohio State & Indiana in which was probably the least amount of sweat we’ve had betting all year. Neither team trailed at any point outside of the first couple minutes and both teams rolled their opponent by 30. Then we moved onto Purdue which I thought would be the easiest winner yet. Boy was I wrong. They trailed as many as 10 in the second half but fought their way back because of our goat Cj Cox. It’s not always easy but a sweat like that is why we gamble. Time to do it again.

It feels like every blog has Liberty mentioned in some way shape or form and there’s a good reason for it. This team has been my wagon all year and I refuse to let them losing two out of their last three scare me off of them. This team is loaded from top to bottom and they will be winning the Conference USA tournament next week. I have described this team from top to bottom before so I’ll save you the yap. They beat Louisiana Tech by 16 on the road and I expect an even bigger win today at home. Give me Liberty ML to start off the greaser. 

The next two games I’m going to talk about go hand in hand and I will be boots on ground for both of them. The two teams we’re taking today are NDSU & St Thomas and they are both heavy favorites and for good reason. NDSU vs Oral Roberts needs no sell job as it’s the best in the conference vs one of the worst teams and the game will show you that. This will be a blowout and everyone knows it. Oral Roberts is always dead in this tournament since they’re one of the only team that has to travel farther than a couple hours. They have no fans here in Sioux Falls and it will always be that way. They have to bring their own juice if they want to knock off NDSU and they lack any and all talent so I don’t see that happening. Give me the Bison by a million. 

Last but not least we move to the Tommies of St Thomas. This program has it all and they haven’t lost a step since jumping from D3 to D1. This is their first year eligible for the NCAA tournament and I don’t see them just rolling over after finally being eligible. They won this tournament last year but had to stay at home while Omaha went on to March Madness. Their team this year is even better and I don’t see them losing in the first game of the tournament.

I wouldn’t be doing my job if I didn’t tell you that I am a little worried about this matchup with SDSU. SDSU is 40 minutes away from Sioux Falls, SD where the Summit League tournament is held every year. This will be a home game for the Jackrabbits. Say what you want about SDSU they have the most insane fan base in the midwest and it’s basically a cult. I don’t know what it is about that team but those fans continuously show up and are as loud as can be. This will be the toughest environment St Thomas has played in this year and it won’t be easy but they are a matchup nightmare for SDSU. They have the home court advantage but that is where the advantages end. This is the worst SDSU team of this decade and they are at a disadvantage at every single position. SDSU will be a popular bet but also a losing bet. Give me the Tommies to bring this greaser home.
