A Free PrizePicks Pitcher Tail - May 12 2026
Rav has a pitcher that you should back who has a great matchup advantage in a stat category where he doesn't usually shine.

You might think I'm batshit crazy ... but I have seriously enjoyed getting into the baseball lab so far this year. The MLB isn't my biggest forte, and with the NBA Playoffs in full swing taking up most of my attention you might be wondering why I am getting into it as hard as I am. Does it have something to do with the Pirates actually being a decent baseball team? Maybe. I put more stock on the fact we will be doing this shit ALL SUMMER and I want to be dialed for when it really comes time to focus 100% on this sport.
I'm taking you to the earliest game on the baseball slate tonight: Angels at Guardians. Los Angeles takes the field at 16-26 and down 0-1 in the series already after a 7-2 loss to Cleveland yesterday. The Guardians send RHP Slade Cecconi to the mound today, a solid pitcher that hasn't seen as much success this season as you would expect. Slade has given up 4 earned runs or more in four of his seven starts and his ERA currently sits at a fat 6.15. But looking at his PrizePicks squared today is lowkey telling us he is going to see success today against this Angels lineup.
Cecconi has given up more than 2.5 runs in 3 of his last 5 starts and has a demon earned runs square up at 2.5, making it look incredibly easy to take a fat multiplier for your lineup for a pitcher that has let up 3+ runs with ease his last five starts and honestly the entire season so far. The books know something here.

This is what they know. The Angels are BY FAR the worst team in the league for strikeouts vs RHPs. Cecconi's K line sits at 5 flat on PrizePicks today and the O4.5 is juiced on the rest of the books. Slade has eclipsed 5 K's just once this season, when he got 6 at the beginning of April vs the Cubs, and has only gotten to five just once his last five games.
I'm taking the Krabs contrarian angle here and backing Slade Cecconi to cook 6+ K's against a shit Angels lineup. It probably sounds like Krabs writing this article now that I'm thinking about it. But taking these types of looks have been working for pitchers for me and I want to keep cooking.
