PGA Championship Winners & Losers

I’m typing this about ¾ of the way through Round 2 at the PGA Championship and I have some thoughts. First let's get into some winners for the first two days in Philly. I will start with a couple of young bucks at the top as I’m typing this and that’s Aldrich Potgieter & Alex Smalley. I don’t think anybody expected them to be near the top going into the weekend but they have made a tough track look like a breeze. They both were up and down machines and put on an absolute clinic with the putter through Friday. Huge props to them. 

The second winner for me is easily the guy that I have some peoples rent money on and that’s Scottie Scheffler. I don’t think this guy could have possibly have anything wrong with him but if you had to say something it would be how he performs on Thursdays. The best golfer in the world has never let a major on Day1 and is averaging above 70 on Thursdays. It’s unheard of but he finally did it this Thursday and silenced the very few haters. When Scottie has had a lead in a major he has won that major every single time. Yes, that’s a real stat. He’s 3 back and I still think it’s over. 

Next let’s get into the losers of the first couple of days. There were plenty to choose from but lets start with the easiest one and that’s Garrick Higgo. Before I tear into him, I will say shooting 1 under after getting a two stroke penalty before you tee off is very impressive but you just can’t do that. You have all the time in the world to make a noon tee time and you somehow lose track of time? Come on brother, you’re a grown ass man. To make it worse he had some odd answers to why he was late or rather why he wasn’t. 

Last but not least we get into the biggest losers of the PGA Championship which is LIV golf. I get there are some guys that may end up competing and that’s fine but 90% of LIV are losers. Nobody cries more than these guys and it’s always someone else's fault when shit isn’t going well. Quick shoutout to Jeff Sunday because he loves to clown bets on betting a LIV golfer to win the PGA Championship at dogshit odds, great bet by that moron. I’m currently watching Brysin duff every single chip he has because he plays at local municipals in Switzerland the other 5 months of the season. These guys used to be so dominant and now we are watching their downfall right before our eyes and frankly I love it. They got their money and now they suck and that’s how it should be. I think it’s years before a LIV player ever wins a major.
